What is the best water softener for 2 people?

There is just 2 in our home, I launder every other day. We need to know something about the Boss water softener.

Can you give me your opinion on the Boss and, also, if you would recommend it for us. Thanks for your help.

C. Typically any water softener will effectively provide ample soft water for 2 people. I would get a water softener with at least 32,000 grains capacity. Most of the "box store" water softening systems are poor quality, and difficult to get parts for.

I highly recommend getting a water softener that uses a quality valve like Clack or Fleck. They are both very reliable, and parts are readily available. You will spend a little more, but get much better quality and value.

Also, most water treatment dealers are quite knowledgeable about the local water conditions. The selling dealer can install and service them as well. A water softener that uses a separate brine tank is preferred for its reliability. Good Luck!

My experience with the Water Boss is that after a year or so, you will need to fix it. This requires very expensive parts (little pieces of plastic at marked up prices) and rude people at Water Boss. Additionally, they add exorbitant shipping costs onto their prices. Other than that, it does the job.

You have to be mechanically adept to have one of these.
