Waterboss Water Softener
For Families Of All Sizes

Every Waterboss water softener is designed for a specific size of household and for a specific type of water.

From this alone, you could see how flexible Waterboss softners are.

Is flexibility the only thing that Waterboss can offer? Let's see...

Waterboss Water Softener Models

Waterboss 950
The Waterboss 950 is ideal for houses that live in the city. It is very effective for city water that does not have iron in its constitution.

The 950 has a softening capacity of 35 grains per gallon of water. It regenerates water for about 19 minutes. Salt requirement for this process is only 2.5 pounds, and only 15 gallons of water. The softening process results in a water that is devoid of the taste of chlorine, and has no odor.

Waterboss Water Softener
Waterboss 700
Compared to the Model 950 Waterboss water softener, the model 700 can soften up to 70 grains per gallon. Not only that, it removes or reduces ferrous iron, filter dust and sentiment of up to 10 parts per million.

WaterBoss touts this model as the solution for almost all conditions where hard water is present.

It operates faster than the 950, with a regeneration time of 18 minutes. It uses slightly more water, at 16 gallons for every operation. It uses also 2.5 pounds of salt to soften the water supply.

Waterboss 900
The Model 900 is the most powerful of all three models. Designed for very large families who use a lot of water, it has the capability of softening up to 90 grains of hardness per gallon. Like the Model 700, this Waterboss water softener can reduce up to 10 ppm of ferrous iron, filter dirt and sediment from your untreated water.

Because of its large capacity, the Model 900 takes a while longer to regenerate. Whereas the other two models could regenerate in 18 or 19 minutes, this one takes twice to do so at 38 minutes. Each regeneration process consumes 27 gallons of water, and 6 pounds of salt.

How to Choose Which Model to Buy

Making your choice out of the three models can be quite confusing. There are several factors to choose from. One is the hardness of your water; you can have this checked by a professional using a hardness kit. The other one is the size of your family, and the last is what type of water you used.

Although it is said that one model is ideal for this family size, the rules are not cut and dried in this matter. You could have a family of 3, which ideally would be handled by the Model 950. However, if this family of 3 has very hard water, the choice of softener would change. The type of water you use has some impact on the decision too.

The amount of water it uses per regeneration may also matter, especially for families that are somehow conscious with their expenses especially water and electricity.

WaterBoss has a "Product Selection" page that purports you to make an intelligent and exact choice of water softener that will best suit your needs given these factors to choose from. In this page, there are three drop-down choices.

The first one is for family size, the second one is for the hardness of your water supply, and the third one is about the type of water that you use.

Depending on your choice, the software will return a picture of the model that would be likely for your needs.
