Water Mate 2 by Hellenbrand Model 2510

The Water Mate 2 works fine, but the resin tank leaks water all over the basement floor.

And the water has something in it that is gooey. I tried twice, by both e-mail and US mail, to contact the Hellenbrand company to ask about what to do and they refuse to answer.

I've had this water softener for 10 years and it was an expensive unit.

Given my experience, I suspect this softener is headed to the junk yard and this company is not customer friendly.
