5. Clean the area.
Don’t immediately attach the water filter replacement cartridge after you remove the old one. You still have to clear the area from any debris, sediment, or impurity.
Think of starting a clean slate with your water replacement cartridge. Once you’re done with this, you can then attach the housing again, relieve the pressure from the cartridge, and then turn on the water supply.
