The Exstream Mackenzie camping water filter is unlike any water filter I have ever owned. I've had this piece of equipment for about a year and a half and I couldn't be more satisfied.

One good thing about this water filter is it holds a whopping 32 ounces of water! This makes it perfect for a serious hiker like me.

Another good thing about my filter is how light it is compared to my other water filters. Somebody once told me that it weighs eight ounces empty and I believe it.

The last time I used my Exstream Mackenzie (about a month ago) I was on a 2 day hiking trip. I filled up my Mackenzie at the beginning of the trip on the first day in a moderately dirty lake. I have proof of its effectiveness because I did not get sick.

The Exstream Mackenzie is a superb choice for any serious hiker like me and until I find a better filter (haven't yet) it is my first recommendation.
