GE Water Dispenser
A Chilled Storage And A Water Cooler In One

The Smart GE Water Dispenser provides hot and cold ready-to-drink water at the push of a button.

People are generally not comfortable drinking the highly chlorinated water that is provided by most city water systems and we're more concerned about the quality and flavor of water than ever before.

Consequently, more and more people are turning to bottled water as a viable option and for that reason are interested in a water cooler like this one.

There are a variety of water dispensers available on the market and the GE water cooler may be one worth considering.

GE Water Dispenser
Here is what it has to offer:
  • Holds 3 to 5 gallon water bottles
  • Hot water capacity: .8 gal per hour
  • Cold water capacity: .26 gal per hour
  • Free standing dispenser
  • Chilled storage compartment
  • Stainless steel reservoir
  • Push button faucet
  • Energy Star Rating
  • 3 dispensers: hot, room temperature, cold
  • Drain valve

This GE water dispenser is a free standing hot and cold water dispenser that is designed for home and office use.

In addition to the water dispenser it has a chilled storage compartment in the lower half for convenient storage of additional drinks and beverages.

It stands 39 inches tall and is 14 2/5 inches wide and 12 2/5 inches deep. The cabinet and dispensing area are made of stainless steel and the unit holds a 3 to 8 gallon water bottle that is placed in the top like most bottled water dispensers. It is specially designed with a water release valve to avoid spills when installing a replacement bottle of water.

The GE Smart Water dispenser dispenses hot water for instant hot beverages, ice cold drinking water and room temperature water with three push button faucets. It will heat .8 of a gallon of water per hour and cool .26 of a gallon of water per hour.

It heats the water to approximately 194 degrees Fahrenheit and chills the cold water to 41 degrees Fahrenheit. The area where you place the cup or glass is large enough to accommodate a large travel mug or cup.

A stainless steel reservoir keeps the water tasting fresh and the removal drip tray helps make the dispenser easy to clean. LED light indicators alert you when the water has reached maximum temperature.

The bottles are refillable at some grocery stores or a new filled bottle can be purchased. Water dispensers such as this one provide an affordable alternative to delivered water. This GE water cooler has also received an Energy Star rating and will not significantly increase your power bill each month.

The storage compartment underneath the water dispenser is .67 Cu. Ft. / 0.019 Cu. M. and has a convenient storage shelf. The chilled compartment provides additional space for storing other beverages and making good use of the cabinet space. Placed on the floor next to a kitchen counter, the GE water dispenser provides plenty of fresh water, both hot and cold, for most household uses.

The only complaint about the GE water dispenser is that the hot water dispenser does not have a safety valve. If you have small children you may want to avoid this particular unit for safety reasons.

Pros:
  • Dispenses hot, cold and room temperature water
  • Stainless steel cabinet
  • Chilled storage cabinet
  • Push button dispensers
  • Energy Star Rating
  • Holds enough water for household use
  • Stainless steel reservoir keeps water fresh

Cons:
  • Does not have a safety valve on hot water dispenser

The GE Smart Water Dispenser is a good option for household and small office use. It provides fresh water both hot, cold and room temperature at the push of a button.

LED light indicators alert you when the water is heated or cooled to temperature and the chilled storage cabinet provides additional space for keeping canned and bottled beverages cool.

The combination of a chilled storage and water dispenser in one unit provides a one stop drink center for the home. For those that are conservation minded, the fact that it is Energy Star rated is an added bonus.
