Culligan sold me on their 'superior product' in '94. The unit broke down on an average of every 2 years.

I've replaced 3 hot water tanks. Their great "customer service" solution this last breakdown was, we will sell you a new unit priced from $1,500.00 -$2,700.00. Lousy product.

We have used our water conditioner since 1982. We use salt pellets in the machine. We have had to replace our hot water tank about every 8 years since we installed the water conditioner. We can not understand why the water tanks go so quickly and we were wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Could the salt be causing damage to the water tanks?
